My weird material was beads. The first thing that came to mind was doing a mosaic or a relief-type piece. I had to pause the project and work on glazing my other pieces. Then my teacher introduced a mini-project of creating wire trees and putting beads on them. My wheels started turning and I had an idea to create a hot-air balloon out of wire. I could incorporate the beads.
One challenge with this project is the wire. Wire seems easy to shape, but once you bend it, the shape you made can't be undone. I few times I shaped the wire in the wrong spot, but I just had to roll with it because wire is too hard to undo. The balloon turned out the way I thought of it in my head, which usually doesn't happen. In the future I might use wire in smaller-scale projects--- just maybe.

P.S. I am going to trim the stray wires. That is not part of the piece.
